What is a Ship Upgrade?
A Ship Upgrade, also known as a Cross Chassis Upgrade (CCU), lets you transform your existing ship into a higher-tier model by paying only the price difference between your current ship and the new one.
Can I upgrade a ship bought in-game with aUEC?
No. The upgrade system only work for ships purchased as standalone ships or as part of a game package with real money or store credit, and stored in your “My Hangar” on the official RSI website. Ships obtained in-game with aUEC cannot be upgraded.
What Ship upgrades are available here?
We offer upgrades for ships that aren’t currently in the RSI store or are limited-time/event-exclusive. You can get them anytime directly from our shop!
How Are Ship Upgrades Delivered?
Ship upgrades are delivered via the RSI gifting system. The email you provide at checkout will receive an official message from RSI containing a link to add the upgrade directly to your account. Orders are typically processed within 15 minutes of completion.
Be sure to log in to the correct RSI account when claiming your upgrade. If you don’t see the email, check your spam or junk folder. Once claimed, the upgrade is permanently attached to your account.
How do I apply a Ship Upgrade?
- Go to the "My Hangar” section on the RSI website.
- Locate your Ship Upgrade pledge and expand its details.
- Click "Apply Upgrade."
- Select the ship you want to upgrade and click "Next."
- You will be asked to enter your password to confirm, then click "Apply."
Once applied, your original ship will be converted into the upgraded ship in your hangar.
What about insurance?
When you upgrade your ship, the new ship retains the original ship’s insurance.
If multiple insurance are present, the longest duration will apply.
Can I buy an upgrade without owning the ship?
Yes, it can stay in your hangar until applied.
Can a ship be upgraded multiple times?
Yes, you can apply upgrades multiple times and build a chain to progress step by step toward a higher-priced ship.
