How Ship Upgrades Work

1. Own a Base Ship
You must already own the required base ship, either as a standalone pledge or included in a game package.

2. Apply the Upgrade
After receiving the upgrade, log in to your RSI “My Hangar” and apply it. The base ship will be permanently converted into the upgraded ship.

3. Insurance Transfer
Any insurance attached to the original ship, including Lifetime Insurance — LTI, will carry over to the upgraded ship.

Important: Ship upgrades can only be applied to eligible pledged ships available in your RSI “My Hangar”. Ships purchased in-game with aUEC cannot be upgraded.

Order Completion & Ship Upgrade Delivery

  • Choose the ship you want to upgrade from the available options, add the upgrade to your cart, and complete checkout.

  • Your order will be delivered to the email address provided at checkout.

  • You will receive an official RSI gift email containing a link to claim the ship upgrade directly to your Star Citizen account.

  • Once claimed, the upgrade will appear in the “My Hangar” section on the RSI website.

  • You can then apply the upgrade from your RSI account to convert your selected ship into the upgraded ship.
